Jim realized year ago that he had a fondness for fondling four varying gauged wires. Before graduating cum laude at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA., he spent some time backing an Elvis impersonator throughout the eastern US. Degree in tow, Jim headed for Los Angeles. He joined a band on CBS records called The Stabilizers, appeared on TV including American Bandstand, did some touring and attempted to sell many records. The single "One Single Thing" wasn't the smash hit everyone said it would be, so back to NYC and the pursuit of his new found muse - ethnic music. From Turkish, Egyptian, Moraccan, Algerian, Armenian and Greek. After much more recording and touring, the realization set in that most Americans prefer to hear music they can understand. Back to his pop roots, where his fondness for the bass continues through Theresa's music. Jim also plays alternative, country, folk and jazz. |
